Custom Workroom
Mary Lasse has been making custom window treatments, cushions, and other soft furnishings for the home and for businesses in her workroom since 2010. Her custom workroom is located in the greater Tampa area of Florida, and she serves clients from Jacksonville to Bradenton as well as by mail order.
Using hand sewing techniques to achieve a look that is high-end for embellishments such as trims, pleats, and interlining for drapery, Mary Lasse currently use 5 different types of sewing machines that enable her to work with both leather and vinyl.
Consew model 226 and Sailrite Ultrafeed model LSZ-1 are used for sewing heavy duty upholstery, leather, and vinyl.
Tacsew model T718-SS-2 is a blind stitch hemmer and is used for draperies, curtains, and roman shades.
Elna sergers 614 DE and Elna Lock Pro 4 DC are used so the inside of the project looks as good as the outside and to prevent fraying of fabric.
Husqvarna model Scandinavia 200 is one of the straight stitch sewing machines that is used for light duty sewing projects.
